‘Are you keeping that?’

This comic was made for Vertigo Magazine’s Trash issue. As a compulsive hoarder since childhood, I thought it would be fun to illustrate this narrative and comfort my fellow designers who may do the same. And of course, I had a large scrapbook with an abundance of random bits and pieces of pretty trash collected over the years to be scanned in for this creative piece.

The underlying concepts of this comic are centred in design and the role it plays in encouraging attitudes of sustainability. As designers, we should be creating work that resonates with people, encouraging them to keep beautiful printed material– as I have been doing all my life.

All imagery and text generated (and hoarded) by me.

You can read ‘Are you keeping that?’ and the rest of Trash, here.
